Chairman Burr on Resignations of Acting DNI Joseph Maguire, Principal Executive Andrew Hallman

Today, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Richard Burr (R-NC) released the following statement on the resignation of Vice Admiral Joseph Maguire, USN (Ret.), who most recently served as Acting Director of National Intelligence (DNI):

“For nearly four decades, Joe Maguire has dedicated his career to securing our country, both in and out of uniform. During a distinguished career with the United States Navy and in leadership roles in our Intelligence Community, he has demonstrated a continued willingness to answer the call to service. I’ve valued Joe’s advice and counsel during his tenure as Director of National Intelligence and at the National Counterterrorism Center, and I wish him the best.”

Chairman Burr also released the following statement on the announcement that Andrew Hallman will step down as ODNI’s Principal Executive:

“Andrew Hallman took on the responsibilities of ODNI’s Principal Executive quickly and capably. I’ve appreciated his extensive knowledge of intelligence matters and his deep respect for the men and women of our IC. I want to thank him for all his work over the last several months during a period of transition.”
