Burr Statement on the President's Budget Proposal

WASHINGTON - U.S.Senator Richard Burr (R-NC)today made the following statement regarding President Obama's proposed budget for 2012:

"The President's budget simply does not go far enough to rein in out-of-control government spending.I am currently reviewing it in its entirety, but from what I've seen so far, this proposal neglects to tackle our nation's biggest budget problems, including entitlement programs. It seems as though the President even ignored the work of his own Debt Commission. We must go further and make the tough decisions necessary to put America back on the path to fiscal sanity."
