Chairman Burr Statement on 9/11 Anniversary

WASHINGTON – Today, Senator Richard Burr (R-NC), Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, made the following statement on the anniversary of September 11th, 2001:

“Today’s grim anniversary marks fourteen years since terrorists attacked our homeland. Let us remember both the sacrifices of those who died as well as the heroism on that day, and the days that followed. Every day, our military and our intelligence community is working to keep Americans safe, so that we may never again experience a terrible tragedy on our own soil. Today is reminder that every day is precious and that America is the greatest country on earth. As each year passes, remembering the events of September 11th reinforces my commitment to our military, our law enforcement and our intelligence community, who stand up against those seeking to harm our citizens and our allies.”
